3,000 employees unite for ambitious wellbeing initiative and charity fundraiser
Premier Technical Services Group Ltd Ltd (PTSG) is launching an ambitious company-wide fitness challenge this November, with employees across the UK aiming to collectively achieve 500 million steps – the equivalent of walking to the moon and back.
Mission: 500 Million will see PTSG’s 3,000-strong workforce unite under the campaign’s motto: One Team, One Goal. The initiative, which runs throughout November 2025, combines employee wellbeing with charitable giving, as PTSG is committing to donate £5,000 to BBC Children in Need if the mission is accomplished.
Winter Wellness Initiative
The challenge addresses the importance of physical and mental health during the winter months, when shorter days and colder weather can impact employee wellbeing. Participants can log steps through any form of movement – from walking and running to cycling, dancing, gardening, or even marching on the spot – ensuring the challenge is inclusive and accessible to all fitness levels.
Greg Ward, CEO of PTSG, said: “This isn’t just about fitness, although getting our people moving is incredibly important. Mission: 500 Million is about pride, belonging, and demonstrating what we can achieve when we work together as one team. We’re linking wellbeing with purpose – taking care of our people while supporting children and young people who need it most.”
Daily Challenges and Wellbeing Support
Throughout November, PTSG employees will take part in daily themed activities, from “Walk & Talk Tuesday” – encouraging walking meetings instead of video calls – to “Dance Off Friday” and “Parkrun Saturday.” The company will track progress through league tables for individuals and divisions.
Supporting the physical challenge, PTSG is running a Lunch & Learn series featuring four 30-minute wellbeing sessions led by employees, covering topics including movement and fitness, healthy eating and mental resilience.
The company will share progress and stories from the challenge on social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn under the hashtag #NextGenFM, showcasing the collective effort and community spirit across the business.
The challenge aligns with BBC Children in Need’s 2025 appeal theme “Challenge Yourself,” which encourages individuals and organisations to take on sponsorable challenges to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Mission: 500 Million launches on Saturday, 01 November 2025.
