Steve Greenhalgh of Guardian Electrical Compliance, part of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), is taking on a personal fundraising challenge in support of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, continuing Guardian’s long-standing commitment to the organisation.

Steve has signed up to the charity’s “50 for 50” challenge, which marks the hospital charity’s 50th anniversary. The challenge will see him complete 50 miles during February, combining his passion for running with fundraising for a cause close to his heart.

Earlier in his career, Steve worked on site at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, carrying out electrical testing across the estate. During that time, he witnessed first-hand the scale of the hospital’s operations, the care taken to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for young patients, and the exceptional dedication of the staff.

“I saw how busy the hospital was and how much effort goes into supporting children and their families,” Steve said. “The staff were always positive, supportive and incredible with the children. Taking on this challenge feels like a small way to give something back.”

Guardian Electrical Compliance has a strong history of supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, having raised significant funds over many years through a range of initiatives and challenges. Steve’s fundraising effort continues this tradition and reflects the values shared across Guardian and the wider PTSG Group.

Funds raised through the challenge will help the charity continue its vital work in enhancing care, facilities and support for children and families across the region.
