Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist fire solutions for the principal provider of long-distance passenger services on the West Coast Main Line between London, the West Midlands, North-West England, North Wales and Scotland. In 2024, all the Class 221 Super Voyagers were replaced by 23 new trains from the Hitachi A-train family, with maintenance taking place at Alstom’s Oxley TRSMD depot in Wolverhampton.
Train operating companies (TOCs) operate under the National Rail brand and are a key part of the rail industry. Some TOCs hold franchises awarded by the Department for Transport (DfT), while others are open-access operators with licenses to provide supplementary services.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will deliver the planned preventative maintenance of fire and security assets at premises for the train operator. The contract will cover 22 sites and run for three years.
PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd is the largest of the Group’s five divisions. It delivers a comprehensive range of fire and security services from fire detection and alarm systems to fire suppression systems, passive fire services and security systems and equipment.
