Building better communities, together
At PTSG, our responsibility extends far beyond the buildings we maintain. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the communities where we live and work, supporting our people’s wellbeing and operating sustainably for future generations.
Our approach to corporate social responsibility is built on three pillars:
- People
- Planet
- Integrity

Our fundraising initiatives

Breast Cancer Now
Our teams have rallied behind Breast Cancer Now, raising over £2,000 for research and support services. From Wearing it Pink days to coffee mornings and cake stalls.

International Women’s Day
Breaking Barriers We’re proud to champion gender equality in an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated. Our International Women’s Day initiatives celebrate the women in our business while breaking down barriers for the next generation.

Mission: 500 Million
In one of our most ambitious challenges yet, our entire workforce united to walk, run, and move their way to 500 million steps in just 30 days. This company-wide fitness challenge promoted wellbeing, raised funds for Children In Need and brought our teams closer together.

Christmas Appeal
Each year, our Christmas appeal supports vulnerable families and individuals in our local communities. From food banks to toy appeals, we ensure those in need have a brighter festive season.

Our commitment to a sustainable future
We recognise our responsibility to minimise environmental impact and operate sustainably. Our approach focuses on practical actions that deliver real results.
Our sustainability priorities:
Fleet & emissions: We’re investing in sustainable fuel technologies, telematics solutions and vehicle electrification to reduce our carbon footprint. Our fleet strategy balances operational efficiency with environmental responsibility.
Waste reduction: From recycling programmes across our sites to reducing single-use plastics, we’re committed to minimising waste and promoting circular economy principles.
Energy efficiency: We continuously review our energy consumption, investing in efficient technologies and processes that reduce our environmental impact.
Sustainable procurement: We work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, ensuring responsible sourcing throughout our supply chain.
Industry leadership
We don’t just follow environmental standards – we help set them. Through our memberships in leading trade organisations and our commitment to innovation, we’re pushing the entire building services sector towards more sustainable practices.
Integrity (Governance & Ethics)
Operating with integrity
Trust is the foundation of every relationship we build. Our governance framework ensures we operate transparently, ethically, and responsibly in everything we do.
Our commitments:
Health & safety excellence Safety isn’t just a priority – it’s fundamental to who we are. If we can’t do it safely, we don’t do it. Our rigorous safety protocols and training programmes ensure everyone goes home safely, every day.
Ethical business practices We maintain the highest standards of business conduct, from fair employment practices to transparent dealings with customers and suppliers.
Diversity & inclusion We’re building a workplace that reflects the communities we serve. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion isn’t just about representation – it’s about creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
Skills development We invest in the next generation through apprenticeships, work experience programmes, and continuous professional development. Many of our apprentices progress to become team leaders and site managers.
Modern slavery statement We have zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking. Our statement outlines the steps we take to ensure these practices have no place in our business or supply chain.
