PTSG’s CEO wins Innovation & Excellence Award

Paul Teasdale, Chief Executive Officer of Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG), has won UK Corporate Livewire’s ‘Innovation & Excellence in Specialist Building Services Award’ for 2016.

Livewire has reported an overwhelming number of high-quality recommendations for this category in 2016, all of which were subject to rigorous assessment criteria. The judges commented that the award is: ‘Testament to the quality of PTSG’s work over the last year, with Paul Teasdale as the driving force behind this incredible business.’

Two of the criteria on which PTSG was judged were notable achievements over the last 12 months, and the size and geographical reach of the business. PTSG was able to wow the judges with its numerous business acquisitions and contract wins, and the subsequent increase in staff numbers and operation centres, which have strengthened the company’s position as the UK’s leading niche specialist service provider.

Another decisive development in 2015 was PTSG’s admittance to the London Stock Exchange. The Group became the first Yorkshire-based company to make an initial public offering in 2015, when flotation on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) took place in the February.

PTSG completes high level painting project on London’s South Bank

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has completed a specialist painting job for contractor HG Construction at a contemporary building on London’s vibrant South Bank.

The building’s exterior features rain-screen cladding. When viewed from the ground, the ‘silver’ colour of the joints was visible, which was undesirable. The client wanted the joints painting using Plastikote spray paint. The challenge was to do this quickly, without the use of scaffolding, which is expensive, time consuming and unsightly.

PTSG’s high level cleaning division was called upon for its expertise in accessing hard to reach areas using abseiling and rope access techniques. The team was able to complete all the painting without using scaffolding, accessing all joints using existing structural steelwork and mobile weight anchors. As a result, the project took just two days, saving the delighted client both time and money.
