Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has completed a specialist painting job for contractor HG Construction at a contemporary building on London’s vibrant South Bank.
The building’s exterior features rain-screen cladding. When viewed from the ground, the ‘silver’ colour of the joints was visible, which was undesirable. The client wanted the joints painting using Plastikote spray paint. The challenge was to do this quickly, without the use of scaffolding, which is expensive, time consuming and unsightly.
PTSG’s high level cleaning division was called upon for its expertise in accessing hard to reach areas using abseiling and rope access techniques. The team was able to complete all the painting without using scaffolding, accessing all joints using existing structural steelwork and mobile weight anchors. As a result, the project took just two days, saving the delighted client both time and money.
