Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at the new MasterChef studios in Birmingham. 

Construction started late last year on site in Birmingham’s Digbeth district at MasterChef’s new studio. This marks the first step in the wider vision to transform the Warwick Bar area into a new creative quarter for the city. 

Under approved plans, Digbeth Loc. Limited are converting the abandoned Grade II listed warehouse at Fazeley Street by the Grand Union Canal into a studio and filming area. The land is owned by Homes England. The sensitive designs by Digbeth-based architecture practice BG Projects include a new modern extension which will reflect the original design of the historic warehouse, used for shipping in the 1800s. 

In this contract, engineers form PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install aa lightning protection system which will provide protection for the structure and all users in the event of an electrical storm. 

PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection services. It is also believed to be the oldest trading company in this area; JW Gray, which became part of PTSG in 2015, has been associated with lightning protection since 1835. It is a founder member of the Association of Technical Lightning and Access Specialists (ATLAS) and is also a member of the Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group (SLPTG).
