Our Fall Arrest Testing business is a critical part of our Access and Safety Division and the Group. Due to some exciting projects and business expansion, we have a requirement for experienced Engineers to cover a number of different areas nationally. The management and support team are based in Castleford.

Role

The role is relatively labour intensive and necessitates working at height.  Having a safety-first mind set is critical to the role.  This is a nationwide role and there will be a periodic requirement to have time away from home, dependent on customer needs.

The role will be to fulfil client needs for the maintenance of Fall Arrest/Fall Restraint, Mansafe Systems, edge protection, fixed ladders etc.

As an experienced engineer you will be able to analyse and resolve mechanical/technical problems.  Proactively resolving issues in line with industry standards and working practices.

Working on construction sites where multiple tradespeople are working alongside each other to safety test access ladders, advice to either the client or managers of a project, ensuring the Company is always professionally represented.

Accurately completing all Company paperwork including point of work risk assessments, job sheets, material schedules and timesheets to ensure regulation compliance.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong and proven experience in engineering and working at heights
  • A good level of communications skills both written and verbal (a good level of English is essential)
  • Customer facing experience in a field service environment
  • Good planning/problem solving skills and management of risk.
  • Team player with flexibility and dynamic approach to all tasks
  • A full valid UK driving licence
