Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is providing specialist building access services at the Royal Star and Garter Home in Richmond.

The Royal Star and Garter Home on Richmond Hill, in Richmond, London, was built between 1921 and 1924 to a design by Sir Edwin Cooper, based on a plan produced by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1915, to provide accommodation and nursing facilities for 180 seriously injured servicemen. The Star and Garter Home received its Royal Charter in 1979, adding the prefix “Royal” to its name.

Engineers from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd are currently testing and certifying the fall arrest systems in place at the Grade II listed building, as well as carrying out a variety of repairs. Work is being delivered on behalf of London Square and Rendall & Rittner.

PTSG is a specialist at working at height and uses rope access (abseil) to deliver a wide variety of high-level cleaning services (including cladding, windows, fascia and gutters), high-level installations and remedial works. The Group’s IRATA-trained engineers also use mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and scaffolding to supplement its rope access provision.
