Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Premier Technical Services Group PLC and its constituent companies, [the company] endorse the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights and have developed supporting policy standards and procedures which include codes of conduct, equality and diversity.

We maintain a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment for our staff, our clients and the general public. We recognise our responsibilities for the environment within which we work.

The company is aware of the ISO 26000 standard which covers voluntary guidance on social responsibility and is aimed at both public and private organisations.

We ensure that this CSR policy is adhered to throughout our supply chain by ensuring, as far as is reasonably practicable, that our suppliers and contractors support minority owned SMEs and third sector enterprises.

We encourage contractors and suppliers to manage the environmental impacts of their activities and are required to complete pre-qualification questionnaires which include environmental and diversity strand standards.

The company recognises its duty to behave responsibly to all parties affected by itsbusiness operations and to minimise its business related social, ethical andenvironmental impacts where possible.

The company is committed to achieving high standards of environmental performance in all its aspects of its business activities, including complying with all relevant legislation and ISO standards. As part of this commitment we have focused on reducing key impacts in many significant areas such as waste management, energy reduction and carbon emissions.

We will:

  • Measure and, where possible, reduce our impact on the environment.
  • Minimise the consumption of energy.
  • Measure and reduce our carbon footprint as part of the carbon reduction commitment.
  • Seek to reduce our waste and to recycle as much as possible.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and ISO certification.

The company is aware that to be carbon neutral it must have zero net carbon dioxide emissions. This is achieved through a combination of reducing carbon emissions, using renewable energy and offsetting the remaining balance of emissions. We will consider this and how we can work towards carbon neutrality by December 2017.
