A fire hydrant, also called a fireplug, fire pump, jockey pump or simply a pump is a connection point by which firefighters can tap into a water supply. It is a component of active fire protection. Fire hydrant flow testing provides important field information to water service planners and fire services, so that they can accurately estimate the capabilities of water mains. PTSG tests, inspects and maintains hydrants to the requirements of BS 9990 and section 57 of the water industries act 1991.
We offer the full range of services including visual inspection, wet pressure test, static pressure test and flow test, ensuring hydrants operate at optimal efficiency.
