Fire Hydrants Testing: A fire hydrant, also called a fireplug, fire pump, jockey pump or simply a pump is a connection point by which firefighters can tap into a water main supply. It is an important component of active fire protection.

For smaller fires, fire trucks are usually able to supply enough water from their tanks. For larger fires, a dependable water source is vital and a hydrant makes sure this is always available.

There are different types of hydrants for different needs: underground, above-ground, break-away, tunnel and garden hydrant. Whatever kind of hydrant you have, it is imperative it is in perfect working order to guarantee your premises are fire-safe.

Fire hydrant flow testing provides important field information to water service planners and fire services, so that they can accurately estimate the capabilities of water mains. PTSG tests, inspects and maintains hydrants to the requirements of BS 9990 and section 57 of the water industries act 1991.

We offer the full range of services including visual inspection, wet pressure test, static pressure test and flow test, to make sure private fire hydrants operate at optimal efficiency.Fire
