PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd is working with a leading international specialist in construction, infrastructure and fit-out services to deliver the work.

Figures released in early September by the CSO indicate a 6.1% contraction in Q2 2020 for Ireland, constituting the largest quarterly decline on record. However, given the severity of the crisis around the world, that figure is still below the EU average of c12%.

PTSG named Fast Growth Business at Yorkshire Business Masters Awards

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is delighted to announce that it has won the Fast Growth Business award at the 10th annual Yorkshire Business Masters Awards.

PTSG was shortlisted alongside Banwait Group, Hortor, Sevenhills Fabrication and The Data Shed. Paul Teasdale, Chief Executive of PTSG, received the honour during last night’s virtual event hosted by TheBusinessDesk.com’s joint managing director Alex Turner.

On receiving the award, Paul Teasdale agreed with Mr Turner that getting the balance right between organic and acquisitive growth has been pivotal to the Group’s success.

“When we started out, we had just a handful of industry specialists, but we had an ambition and a vision to be the complete provider of specialist services in the UK. We are now realising that ambition, but we retain that same spirit amongst our 1,600+ people.

“Right from the start we had a strong appreciation for business ethics, high standards, candour and ‘Yorkshire spirit’. This has stood us in good stead throughout our history.

“We have also invested continually in our business and our people, which has paid dividends and been vital to PTSG’s success. A number of our people who started lower down the career ladder have worked their way up to become directors.

“I am extremely honoured and thankful to receive this award, which I dedicate to every one of our hard-working and talented people.”

PTSG lands contract at Heathrow tunnel

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract to safeguard Heathrow tunnel in the event of a lightning strike.

The main tunnel at Heathrow Airport is undergoing a £103 million refurbishment. The 18-month contract involves major work on the main and cargo tunnels serving Terminals 1, 2 and 3 in order to comply with the latest European standards and also to extend the life of the tunnel for a further 60 years.

Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a lightning protection system in accordance with BS EN 62305. This standard divides the structure into multiple lightning protection zones that are electrically and electromagnetically isolated from each other. This is achieved on the one hand by surge protection devices at the zone transitions, and on the other hand by using electromagnetic shielding or appropriate physical spacing.

PTSG has provided a variety of specialist services at Heathrow Airport over the last decade. Engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd are engaged in an ongoing contract managing the fire detection and alarm systems around the airport, including terminals and the main control tower building.

PTSG completes project at 60 London Wall

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a project to install a lightning protection system at an innovative new development in Central London.

60 London Wall is a substantial mixed use commercial and retail development located in the City of London. Citygrove, the property development and investment firm, is redeveloping the building to provide efficient, high-quality and grade A-specified office accommodation with a prime retail offering at ground floor level.

Designed by acclaimed architects EPR, this is a complete rework of a postmodern office building occupying a prominent 1.3-acre corner site. The building terraces feature “sky gardens’ for the building occupants to enjoy.

60 London Wall represents another significant London development that PTSG has been involved with. London is one of the world’s most historic capital cities and many of the modern developments have to be built around buildings of heritage value. The planning process, development and subsequent construction often take much longer than more modern cities like New York and Tokyo. However, the result is often iconic, such as in skyscrapers such as The Cheesegrater, The Vase and The Scalpel – each of which PTSG has provided specialist services for.
