Our Bundled Services – Issue forty-four

I am Andrew Dack, Group Sales Director for PTSG.

PTSG, through its bundled services, offers a genuine multi-disciplinary capability to clients. This often provides them with the complete specialist services solution, with the following benefits:

  • one single point of contact for all services;
  • a far more focused approach to the servicing of their assets, keeping their building(s) in first-class operational order;
  • associated cost savings; and
  • by offering a bundled service we are able to ensure compliance on all services provided by PTSG.

During June 2019, we have won a number of multi-services contracts – the kind that PTSG have come to specialise in and mean clients don’t need to go anywhere else.

  • Worldpay UK – the payment processing company, headquartered in Londons. PTSG will be working directly with the client, delivering an Electrical Installations Conditions Report (EICR).
  • Williams Lea Tag – the global business process outsourcing leader has contracted PTSG for the provision of a range of testing/compliance services across fall arrest, fixed wiring and lightning protection systems. The work will be undertaken on 18 business properties covering the whole of the UK.
  • Manchester Airport (ISS) – the largest UK airport outside of London, Manchester Airport will see PTSG’s engineers performing the inspection of cradles and dry riser systems and the testing of lightning protection systems at four buildings. The main contractor is ISS – global provider of facility services.

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) is delighted to announce its shortlisting in the prestigious 2019 IWFM (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management) Awards.

The Group was informed of its success in the Innovation in Technology Systems category of the awards. Following a presentation to a panel of specialist IWFM judges, PTSG will attend what is one of the biggest awards and celebration events in the FM calendar – taking place on 14thOctober at Grosvenor House in London.

PTSG was selected for its innovative and successful use of technology. Its recent development of the PTSG Portal allows each employee to manage all aspects of their day-to-day job at the click of a mouse. It effectively unites all 1,200 employees throughout the UK with a unique Intranet system that can be accessed with any device, anywhere. Clarity, PTSG’s unique proprietary software system, is designed for the smooth, speedy and efficient management of jobs from start to finish – with instant invoicing and certification. TraQ-it is an interactive online asset management tool for electrical services clients. It delivers instant reporting without the need for time-consuming paperwork.

All three systems are making PTSG a far more efficient business, especially given the continued growth and increasingly diverse and complex nature of its work. Its use of technology has also meant a superior service for its clients, who enjoy better visibility of their work and faster – often instant – results.

PTSG receives glowing praise for its fire solutions

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has received excellent feedback from the UK’s largest not-for-profit care provider for a recent fire solutions contract in Essex.

PTSG’s dry riser maintenance divisions (UK Dry Risers Maintenance), based near Manchester, delivered the specialist fire solutions for Anchor Hanover at its Elizabeth Gardens Extra Care development – containing 65 properties for people aged 55+.

PTSG was hired via main contractor Interserve Support Services. Lucy Gooch, Estate Manager (Anchor Hanover Group, Extra Care) made the following comment about the quality of work from PTSG:

“Just to let you know that subcontractor UK Dry Risers Maintenance came (on behalf of Interserve) and completed these works yesterday and they were really very good and informative afterwards as to what they had completed. Nice to deal with such good contractors – well done UK Dry Risers Maintenance – all the way from Manchester!”

Delivering outstanding customer service is the main aim amongst PTSG’s 1,200 members of staff. It has seen the Group consistently achieve a contract renewal rate of 88% or higher since its founding year of 2007.

Another “Great Idea” from PTSG

Electrical engineers from Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) will be attending CBRE’s ‘The Great Idea 2019’ on 31st July to demonstrate the benefits of its unique online portal – TraQ-it®.

The Great Idea is an event which gives companies the opportunity to showcase and pitch new and innovative ideas to CBRE. It takes place at five different locations around the UK – PTSG will be attending the event in Manchester. Each pitch will be scored and the top 10 from the different events across the country will be invited to London later in the year for a Dragon’s Den style final for their idea to be crowned the overall winner.

TraQ-it® is an interactive website that contains such features as instant reporting, exporting capabilities, hierarchical permission levels, search and filter functionality and remote printing. It was developed over several years to ensure records are always current, accurate, consolidated and with a version history capability.

Many contracting companies experience difficulty in promptly returning reports to clients because of human interface issues – i.e. office-based data inputting of records collated on site. TraQ-it® overcomes this difficulty, with a solution that is sustainable and with little or no impact on the environment.

PTSG has developed a successful track record with CBRE over a number of years, delivering a range of specialist services to clients which fall under the CBRE banner. The Group’s engineers are currently engaged in contracts to perform fixed wire and portable appliance testing, testing of fall arrest equipment and testing of lightning protection systems at sites for BUPA and Dulux as well as 800 BT sites throughout the UK.
