In 2014, we launched MOUSE (Memorable, Outstanding, Unique, Service, Experience), a unique customer service-driven initiative. Each month, MOUSE speaks to someone in our team about their life inside and outside of work.

This month, we speak to Karl Greenfield, the Access and Safety Division’s Installations Director Suspended Access, to see what his job involves, and what he gets up to when he’s out of the office.
Karl has been at PTSG since October 2008, and has been in the façade access industry for 20-years.

At work
As Installations Director Suspended Access I have an overall responsibility for sales and installations of façade access equipment ranging from 30T machines to abseil eyebolts. My day to day tasks could see me specifying systems for architects, pricing for main contractors, designing and detailing systems for approval, procuring equipment for delivery to site, inspecting machinery before delivery and occasionally helping out on site (ideally when it’s not cold!)

At home
I have two children Joseph and Alicia, and I also have six goldfish. We enjoy going to watch Sheffield United, and sometimes the kids come along too! I enjoy travelling, and no more so than to Spain, be it for business or pleasure. I have finally decided to make a concerted effort to learn the language over and above ordering drinks and tapas!
