Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) Electrical Services managing director Andrew Dack has been named a finalist in this year’s PFM Awards.
Andrew has been shortlisted in the Account Director of the Year category, with the announcement following the news earlier this month that PTSG is the most shortlisted company in the PFM Awards 2015 having been named a finalist in no less than four other categories.
Andrew is the sole point of contact for one of the group’s key customers, Cofely.
Having secured an opportunity in April 2014 for PTSG to carry out fixed wire testing for one of Cofely’s portfolio clients, BMW, Andrew has led the company to today being Cofely’s preferred supplier across all platforms.
Following the initial opportunity afforded to Andrew based on his resilience and reputation within the facilities management industry, in his own words, securing this extended portfolio has been achieved through “12 months of hard graft”.
A little over a year after grasping the opportunity presented to him by Cofely, Andrew has ensured PTSG now provides a host of services to BMW, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Birmingham.
Andrew played an essential role in helping the company to be admitted onto the London Stock Exchange, just eight years after formation. From a standing start in 2007, PTSG was valued at more than £45m in February 2015.
Under his leadership, PTSG Electrical Services has fast become a service provider of choice to the FM industry due to its ability to undertake professional work anywhere, at any time.
He volunteers for industry boards and think tanks, speaks at industry events and is a huge advocate and supporter of the electrical industry apprenticeship scheme – with many of his apprentices winning national awards for their work.
As well as Andrew’s shortlisting, the group has been shortlisted in the Partners in FM – Corporate category for its work with Dodd Group at RAF Marham as well as in the Partners in FM – SME Organisations category for its ongoing works with UNITE.
PTSG is also a finalist in the Partners in FM – Retail award for its partnership work with Marks and Spencer and in the Partners in FM – Healthcare Facilities category for its ongoing work with Cofely at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
In 2013, PTSG, which was one of seven businesses to sponsor last year’s awards, won the Partners in FM – SME Organisations award.
Last year, the glittering awards ceremony was hosted by TV presenter Eamonn Holmes and attracted more than 650 people, including some of the industry’s leading businesses.
The 2015 ceremony, which will be the 22nd in the awards’ history, will be held at the Brewery in London in November.
