Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has secured a contract with the University of Surrey to install a new lightning protection system to the new Veterinary College building on the campus.
Colin Sanders, UK Operations Director of PTSG Electrical Services Ltd, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to install a lightning protection system to the University of Surrey’s latest development.”
Lightning protection systems protect buildings from direct strike and the secondary effects of lightning strikes, providing the required level of protection to both the inhabitants and the numerous different types of sensitive electronic equipment housed within a structure of this nature.
The Guilford-based University received its charter in 1966 and has recently expanded into China by launching the Surrey International Institute with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
With more than two decades of experience in the design, installation and testing of lightning protection and earthing systems, PTSG Electrical Services is the UK market leader and member of The Association of Technical & Access Specialists (ATLAS).
The company works not only in the UK and has expanded into international markets – completing work in Scandinavia and the Middle East.
