Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has strengthened its association with the rail industry after completing works on a number of high-profile projects across England.
The group’s Fall Arrest Installations division has delivered works at New Cross Gate Station, Ilford Stabling Yard for Crossrail and Birmingham New Street.
Wayne Adams, Sales Director of PTGS Fall Arrest Installations, said: “These works have helped keep our rail connection very much alive and has strengthened our presence within that market.
“Working to stringent protocol is part of being an approved contractor for Crossrail and it is testament to our focus on health and safety that were selected by Crossrail to carry out the works.
There was a lot of hard work that went in by our team before we could even begin to work on the sites so I would like to thank them for that.
“All three sites have been the subject of major redevelopments that will help to improve rail services and we are delighted to be a part of the projects.”
New Cross Gate is one of the first stations to bring in new longer trains. The increase, which will help support the more than 100 million commuter journeys made on the network every year, involves trains going from four carriages to five in order to help reduce rush hour crowding.
At Ilford Stabling Yard, Crossrail is making changes to a number of existing buildings at the site to ensure it can build ten new sidings to house trains overnight as well as constructing a new building for onsite employees.
PTSG has also completed works at Birmingham New Street as part of the station’s ongoing transformation into a transport hub for the West Midlands.
