Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has completed maintenance works at BBC Radio Norfolk.
PTSG’s South Suspended Access division carried out a full winch overhaul on access equipment at the station’s offices in Norwich.
Scott Hawtrey, divisional director at PTSG, said: “We have worked on behalf of the BBC across a number of sites and we are delighted to have been able to continue our association with the organisation thanks to these latest works at BBC Radio Norfolk.”
A winch overhaul is one of the main services delivered by PTSG’s South Suspended Access division.
The division’s engineers complete the winch overhaul by running out the wire suspension ropes from the winches and blocstops, removing the winches and blocstops from the cradle, returning the equipment to the manufacturers for a complete strip down and overhaul and then installing the system back into the cradle.
BBC Radio Norfolk was launched at 5.55pm on September 11 1980. It was the first BBC local radio station to launch in East Anglia.
