Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) will attend the University Hospital of Wales to provide maintenance and upgrades to the building’s access and fall protection equipment.
Specialist engineers from PTSG’s Access and Safety division will work to maintain and where necessary upgrade the hospital’s access equipment, including Latchways systems, end stops and eye bolts. The equipment is used to securely attach ropes and cables as part of fall arrest systems, ensuring safety when working at height.
The University Hospital of Wales is a teaching hospital of Cardiff University School of Medicine. It is the third largest University Hospital in the UK and the largest hospital in Wales, and was Europe’s first fully integrated hospital and medical school.
PTSG’s Access and Safety division has worked at the hospital previously, performing cradle maintenance services at this site since 2011. The group has a large and growing portfolio of healthcare sector clients, including Liverpool University Hospital, Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, The Royal College of General Practitioners, Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham and Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham, and is currently undertaking an electrical services contract at Darlington’s Memorial Hospital, installing lightning protection to the building’s new operating theatres.
