Squeaktime – Issue fourteen

In 2014, we launched MOUSE (Memorable, Outstanding, Unique, Service, Experience), an initiative established to help deliver the best service possible. Each month, MOUSE speaks to someone in our team about their life inside and outside of work.

This month, we speak to Mark Brackenbury, the Group’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor, to see what his job involves and what he gets up to when he’s out of the office.

At work
As the Group SHE Advisor a key role I play is ensuring the safety of PTSG’s engineers, carrying out site audits, assessing our internal policies and procedures and making sure we’re always doing what we can to maintain ISO standards.

It’s great to see the reputation PTSG has in the industry for an outstanding commitment to health and safety, and the hard work everyone puts in to make sure our teams are always as safe as possible has been reflected in dozens of awards and accreditations.

At home
I’m a keen motorcyclist and really enjoy touring – it’s taken me all over the place! I also really love paragliding. I haven’t been able to get out and do it for the last couple of years, but it’s the best way to see the Peak District!
